Andriy Horot is a Ukrainian inventor, entrepreneur, transportation technology innovator, and researcher whose work combines more than fifteen years of experience in international freight transportation with next-generation intelligent mobility solutions. Living and working between Kyiv, Ukraine, and Orlando, Florida, he develops technologies that make commercial transportation safer, smarter, and more sustainable.
Recognized as one of the new generation of Ukrainian inventors, Horot integrates practical business expertise with engineering innovation, combining the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, and energy-efficient technologies into intelligent transportation systems.
He is a Member of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, a Member of the International Association of Scientists “Intellectual Leadership,” recipient of the Academy of Sciences Award for Innovation in Intelligent Transportation Systems, Honorary Member of the Association of Ukrainian Engineers, and Ambassador of the international magazine Ukrainians and the World. He regularly publishes scientific research, speaks at international conferences, and serves as a judge and expert for innovation competitions.
His flagship invention—an Automated Tire Monitoring and Inflation System—continuously monitors tire pressure and automatically maintains optimal inflation for commercial vehicles and trailers. The system improves road safety, reduces fuel consumption and operating costs, extends tire life, and supports sustainable transportation.
You spent more than fifteen years in international logistics. What inspired you to become an inventor?
– Working in freight transportation, I saw how small technical problems created major financial losses. One of the most overlooked issues is improper tire pressure, which increases fuel consumption, accelerates tire wear, raises maintenance costs, and compromises road safety.
Instead of constantly dealing with these consequences, I wanted to eliminate the problem through technology.
What makes your Automated Tire Monitoring and Inflation System unique?
– Most existing systems only warn drivers when tire pressure drops. Our technology automatically restores optimal pressure while the vehicle is moving or stationary.
The device is a compact external module that installs directly on vehicle or trailer wheels without major modifications. My goal was not to create another sensor, but an intelligent engineering solution that improves efficiency, lowers maintenance costs, and enhances transportation safety.
Why is combining IoT, AI, and energy-efficient technologies so important?
– Modern transportation is becoming part of an intelligent digital ecosystem. Our system integrates IoT sensors, wireless communication, cloud technologies, predictive analytics, and artificial intelligence into one platform.
Rather than simply collecting data, it analyzes vehicle performance and predicts potential failures before they occur, shifting maintenance from reactive to predictive.
How can artificial intelligence transform commercial transportation?
– AI detects patterns that humans cannot easily recognize. By analyzing tire pressure, temperature, vibration, and other operating parameters, machine-learning algorithms can predict failures before they become serious problems.
This improves safety, reduces operating costs, minimizes downtime, and extends tire lifespan.
Why is scientific research important to your work?
– Practical experience identifies problems, while scientific research transforms ideas into technologies that can be validated and implemented worldwide.
Innovation is not just about creating products—it is about developing engineering solutions supported by scientific evidence and practical testing. That is why I actively publish research, participate in international conferences, and collaborate with scientists from different countries.
How important is international recognition?
– Innovation has no borders. Recognition by international scientific and engineering communities confirms that the problems we solve are global. Collaboration between science, engineering, and entrepreneurship leads to the strongest innovations.
Why is the United States, particularly Florida, an attractive market?
– The United States is a global leader in transportation innovation. Florida is rapidly becoming one of America’s largest logistics hubs, with expanding ports, growing freight transportation, and significant investments in intelligent transportation infrastructure.
The demand for technologies that improve safety, reduce operating costs, and support sustainability continues to grow.
What benefits could your technology bring to the U.S.?
– The system can significantly improve highway safety, reduce fuel consumption by approximately 3–5%, lower maintenance costs, extend tire lifespan, and enable predictive maintenance through artificial intelligence.
It also supports sustainability by reducing carbon emissions and can become part of future Smart City transportation infrastructure.
What advice would you give inventors entering the U.S. market?
– Focus on solving real problems. Successful innovations improve people’s lives, increase safety, reduce costs, or make businesses more efficient.
The American market values practical engineering solutions backed by measurable results and long-term vision.
What is your personal mission?
– My mission is to make transportation smarter, safer, and more sustainable. Technology should always serve people.
If my work helps reduce accidents, improve logistics, lower environmental impact, and make transportation more efficient, then I know I am moving in the right direction.
