With more than 24 years of experience in the beauty industry, Oksana Karvehina is internationally recognized for her expertise in hair extensions and professional education.
Shortly after obtaining her U.S. cosmetology license in April 2024, she rapidly established herself in Florida’s beauty industry as the founder of OxyOxy Beauty LLC and an educator specializing in advanced hair extension technologies.
Through her professional work and educational initiatives, Karvehina contributes to the development of modern hair extension techniques and professional standards in the beauty industry.
Oksana, how did your professional career begin?
– My career began more than 24 years ago in Ukraine, where I started working as a hairstylist and colorist. From the very beginning I focused on advanced coloring techniques and modern hair extension technologies. Continuous professional development and international training allowed me to develop my own professional approach to achieving natural-looking results while preserving the health of natural hair.
When did you begin teaching other professionals?
– I began teaching in 2009. Since then I have trained beauty professionals in modern hair extension techniques and professional hair services through educational programs, workshops, and masterclasses. My educational programs focus on practical training and help specialists quickly master advanced techniques and build successful careers in the beauty industry.
You have also been involved in professional industry projects. Could you tell us about them?
– In 2008–2010 I organized an international competition in hairdressing, makeup, and body art that brought together beauty professionals from different countries. During the same period I founded and published the professional beauty industry magazine UkrSalon, which focused on professional education and knowledge exchange within the beauty community.
Where did you receive professional training?
– I trained with leading beauty professionals in Ukraine, Europe, Russia, and the United States. This international experience allowed me to study a wide range of professional techniques and develop my own methodology in hair extensions and hair coloring.
What is your main specialization today?
– Today I work as a practicing colorist, hair extension expert, and educator. My specialization includes advanced hair extension technologies such as capsule, tape-in, and micro-capsule methods, as well as complex hair coloring techniques.
In addition to working with clients, I train beauty professionals, conduct workshops and masterclasses, and develop educational programs focused on modern hair extension technologies. Through my professional and educational work, I help introduce advanced techniques and higher professional standards within the beauty industry.
As the founder of OxyOxy Beauty LLC, I also manage and develop a professional beauty business while continuing to work as both a practicing specialist and an educator.
How did your career develop after moving to the United States?
– After relocating to the United States, I confirmed my professional qualifications by successfully passing the state examinations and obtaining my American cosmetology license in April 2024.
Although this milestone was achieved recently, my more than twenty-four years of international experience allowed me to quickly establish my professional activity in Florida, where I founded OxyOxy Beauty LLC and continue working as both a practicing specialist and an educator.
Are you a member of any professional organizations?
– Yes. I am a member of the Kazakhstan Association of the Hair Extension Industry, a professional organization that brings together specialists working in the field of hair extensions.
Participation in professional associations allows experts to exchange experience, follow industry developments, and support high professional standards within the beauty industry.
Are you involved in international industry events?
– Yes. In 2026 I was invited as a speaker and jury member at the international beauty competition United Beauty Award 2026 in recognition of my professional achievements and expertise in the field of hair extensions.
As part of this role, I evaluate the work of beauty professionals and share my professional experience with the international beauty community.
Are you involved in other professional events as well?
I am also a participant at Premiere Orlando, one of the largest professional beauty industry exhibitions in the United States.
At this event I present modern hair extension technologies and conduct educational training sessions for beauty professionals, sharing advanced techniques and professional knowledge with the American beauty community.
What are your plans for the future?
– I plan to continue developing educational programs and online training courses for beauty professionals while sharing modern hair extension technologies with specialists in the United States and internationally.
My goal is to help beauty professionals improve their skills and contribute to the development of modern techniques and professional standards within the beauty industry.
